In the name of Hollywood, the waste and worst!
It has become a panorama these days to make Telugu films inspired by Hollywood flicks. Most directors say that we are inspired by American technology. But most of them show only lip-locks, suave hair styles and swanky outfits as if in a Hollywood film. However, they were never mastering the art of storytelling an ace producer feels.
A new film 'Karma' directed by Sesh Adivi is of the same kind. It is a supernatural thriller entirely shot in Hollywood. The trailers show only bloodshed, some serial killers, lip lock and a rap song in Telugu. The makers were publicizing it as the first film shot entirely in USA. Fact is that, there were many Telugu films, which were entirely shot in United States, which never released or released to go unnoticed. One such film is 'Sangamam' by Rasool Ellore, which never released.
An ace producer who graced the trailer launch of 'Karma' shared his inner thoughts with his friends. "Earlier Ravibabu, Sekar Kammula, Deva katta, protégés of top Hollywood film schools promised to deliver Hollywood like flicks but ended up in regular Telugu ones," He said. Our makers should concentrate more on delivering a good story rather sticking to some technology of Hollywood. Gurus of tollywood like K.Raghavendra Rao, Dasari, K.Vishwanath delivered all time industry hits without having influence, exclaimed many industry folks.

Komaram Puli release still unsure?
One film has really become a prick under everyone's feet these days. The Hero, Heroine, Producer, Director, Distributors, Exhibitors, etc., never can say anything confidentially about that film. It is none other than Komaram Puli.
Amidst all the controversies surrounding it, the makers of the film announced to all the media that 10 September is the Big Day. Still, it is very unsure will it be definitely releasing. Ultimately, the reason behind these are crouching KCR, Harish Rao and Kavitha. Even after a series of controversies hitting the film, these three Telangana leaders remained tight lipped about the film, even after the release date is announced.
An insider from TRS office says that the mega leaders of Telangana were planning a guerrilla attack on the theatres exhibiting Komaram Puli. Already, the producers got a hole in their pocket due to losses incurred with the postponements of the film. If the entire Telangana area is taken by a storm of protests tomorrow, makers of the film cannot recover for sure.

Shame On Tollywood, Says Ace Director
Every small time producer and big shot filmmaker were kept saying these days that dubbing movies were playing spoil sport in Tollywood. However, fact is that those other language movies could go international level.
"There is no 'Telugu' movie in terms of story or screenplay, which can reach those heights," said a top producer from Tollywood.
Well, all this discussion started when ace Tamil director Murugadoss tied up with Fox Films a couple of days back. Our directors and producers started to think, when will Telugu directors associate with Hollywood Film making companies? Though they got some chances earlier, when UTV sponsored 'Athidi' and Reliance sponsored 'Saleem', both the films turned duds at the box office. As a result big players of the game lost interest in Telugu films. To cover up things, our producers are saying that 'dubbing' films are affecting their business.
In an interview to media, the tallest man of Tollywood Tammareddy Bharadwaja shared his thoughts.
"If our films are contented with rich ideas, there will not be any chance for dubbing films, it is foolishness to blame dubbing films when we are not making any good films", said Tammareddy.

Dusky Beauty to direct film on Prostitution
Actress-turned-director Nandita Das is set to go back to direction once again to make a film on Prostitution. It's an international film called "Trafficking".
Written by Siddharth Kara, who has researched extensively on the subject of human trade, "Trafficking" will tell the story of three sex workers from India, Nigeria and Ukraine.
Though the 40-year-old is busy being a mother for the first time, she cannot resist the temptation of wielding the megaphone. And the big question is how will Nandita divide her time between her son Vihaan, who was born Aug 11 this year, and directing a new film?
"The producers approached me at the end of last year and we have been in serious talks since then. I met the writer, Siddharth Kara in London earlier this year and have been giving my inputs for the next draft of the script. The producers are well aware of Vihaan in my life and sensitive to it," said the actress who is married to Subodh Maskara, an industrialist.
Nandita is in no hurry to shoot.
"The basic pre-production starts only after March next year and the shoot will be done when I completely feel up to it. As being a mother is something new for me, I am taking one step at a time.
"But we are all committed to working together on this film. It is big and challenging project and lot of work is needs to be done before the actual shoot. In a few months taking care of Vihaan and also starting the preparatory work on the film should be possible. It will keep my creative juices flowing!"
Her son will not have miss his mom. "Vihaan will be on the shoot with me. He will see his mama work," said the actress who carved a niche for herself with award winning performances.

Young heroine scares producer
It is often heard in Tollywood those Heroines with only one hit film to their credit show tantrums like anyone. One hit film gives them an arrogant attitude which doesn't change even after some serial flops. This short-fat heroine with only one hit to her credit is scaring the producer with her costly lifestyle.
We are talking about Shweta Basu Prasad, the heroine of Kotha Bangaru Lokam followed by some flops like Kasko and Kalavar King. This bulky heroine is just irking the producer of her latest flick 'Nuvvekkaduntey Nenakkadunta' with UdayKiran in the lead.
Tollywood sources say that she is demanding costly costumes, luxurious hotel stay in five star hotels and expensive car pickups. However, the producer recently got shocked when she halted the shoot for an hour for providing her with a local made 'tissue paper'. The shooting resumed only when she was arranged with an imported tissue paper which costs not less than 1000 rupees for a pack of ten. Tollywood says that this will be her last film if she throws this kind of tantrums.
