Thank you all. I still am recovering from the best thing that has happened to me so far. Winning the title of Indian idol 5 was a dream, but not one I thought would be possible. But after all your support and the support of the judges, my family and Sony, this dream is now a reality.
Firstly I would like to thank all my fans, well-wishers and everyone who has voted for me. It is because of you that I am the Indian Idol. Not once did you let me be in the bottom 3. It is this faith in me that gave me the will and confidence that I could do it. I had a great time chatting with you guys, and though I could not chat with all of you, I hope that in the future I can perform for you, meet you all and keep singing for you.
The show has been great for me. I have learned so much in these months. My appearance, my presentation and how I can use my range; all this I have learnt here. The judges and the music coach have always been encouraging and they are the ones who have contributed to the performances which you all have liked so much.
Indian Idol has given me a platform and a stage where I had the honor to perform with great artist such as Ashaji, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Ushaji and too share the stage with the likes of Amir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonma Kapoor and many others. The icing on the cake was to receive the award from Mr Amitabh Bachchan. That was perhaps the moment which I would not be able forget even if I wanted too.
Now the real challenge for me begins. I must take this gift given to me and make the best of it. My dream is to be a star performer and to be a playback singer. God has given me this opportunity and now it is up to me to turn it into the launch pad to my career.
Lastly I would once again like to thank all of you who have written to me, voted for and believed in me. I would not be here without you.
